Ticketing Finance/Junior Accountant (Temporary role)

THE POSITION
1.5-2years long temporary assignment, reporting to the Group Leader of the Ticketing Finance Team, you support the team in all finance and accounting related matters, ensuring the accurate handling of ticket sales and related services within the ticketing accounting systems. Please note the role will be via a Swiss payroll agency, not directly with FIFA.
These are your key tasks:

  • Ensuring Ticketing Finance acts as a business partner to the commercial Ticketing team and provide support for Finance-related matters.
  • Monitor high-volume ticket sales and ensure accurate revenue reflection in the accounting system.· Monitoring of control processes and reconciliations.
  • Support the team with month-end and year-end closing tasks and its associated reporting of the FIFA Ticketing subsidiaries.
  • Manage customer enquiries and process refunds to various ticket customers.
  • Handle chargebacks from ticket customers.
  • Support handling potential international tax returns.

The specific competencies we require for this position are:

  • Degree in Finance or Business Administration,
  • Proven track record of 1-3 years in a finance environment,
  • Experience in fast-paced environment of advantage,
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of accounting and controlling processes and principles,
  • Affinity with IT systems (e.g. SAP FI and others),
  • Team player across functions and locations, passes on specialist knowledge independently in the team,
  • Confident demeanour,
  • Keen sense of responsibility,
  • Ability to work under pressure,
  • High degree of initiative,
  • Attention to detail,
  • Ability to learn quickly,
  • Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information,
  • Ability to work independently,
  • Fluent in English, Spanish is an asset,
  • Ticketing sales systems,
  • MS Office,
  • SAP an advantage,
  • Willingness to travel when required.
