Stats Perform is expanding its technology initiatives and is seeking a Technology Project Manager to join its AI Operations Project Management Team. This role offers a chance to drive strategically important technology projects from initiation to successful implementation.

You will deliver complex technology projects across the full lifecycle, working with diverse global stakeholders. You'll champion project ownership, ensuring technology initiatives are managed effectively to maximize scope, objectives, efficiency, and successful delivery.

In this role, you'll manage a portfolio of technology-driven projects aligned with business and client needs. You'll collaborate closely with our AI, IT, Engineering, and Architecture teams to ensure projects are planned, controlled, and successfully integrated into the business.

Job description:

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, defining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements for technology initiatives.
  • Execute project milestones, monitoring progress and addressing challenges related to technical implementations.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks specific to technology projects, including data integration, system dependencies, and security considerations.
  • Collaborate with technology workstream owners to drive the completion of all project requirements.
  • Manager projects involving low code/ no code tools for process orchestration and automation.

Technical Expertise:

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of technology concepts and deployment strategies.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute technical insights to project decision-making processes, including system selection, architecture design, and deployment strategies.
  • Facilitate communication between AI researchers, data scientists, engineers, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute technical insights to AI project decision-making processes, including model selection, architecture design, and deployment strategies.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Foster clear and effective communication channels with technology project stakeholders, including engineers, and business leaders.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, technical progress, and potential challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional technology teams, ensuring alignment on project goals.

Resource Management:

  • Coordinate and allocate technical resources, including engineers, and cloud computing resources.
  • Work closely with cross-functional technology teams to ensure a cohesive and collaborative approach to project delivery.

Budget Oversight:

  • Manage technology project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met, including infrastructure and development expenses.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies in project execution, such as optimizing resource utilization.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of technology and its application in business, gained from experience in technology-focused organizations.
  • Experience delivering projects involving system development, data engineering, cloud-based platforms, and infrastructure.
  • Experience running technology projects across diverse functional groups, including engineering and business.
  • Experience in both large-scale system deployments and rapid prototyping projects.
  • · Experience with senior stakeholder communication including status reports, defining and tracking project metrics and technical progress.
  • Strong people skills and experience working with diverse technical stakeholders, including engineers and business users.
  • Exceptional organizational and administration skills, with the ability to manage complex technology projects and competing priorities.
  • Technical Project Management experience (5+ years).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field would be an advantage.
  • Project Management qualification (PMP, Agile, etc.)
  • Experience with low code/ no code tools like n8n, Appsmith etc. is a bonus.
  • ServiceNow, Salesforce, Aha.oi, Atlassian Jira and Confluence applications experience.
  • Confidence to communicate and present to all levels.
  • Understanding of Agile versus Waterfall approach and when best to deploy each method.
  • A passion for sport would be advantageous but not essential.
