Description
Are you looking to further your career as a tech assistant in an exciting fast-paced live sports environment? Look no further!
Me have an exciting opportunity available for a Technical Assistant.
In this role you will be responsible for media management, implementing file-based workflows, setting up production suites for live edits, commentary and voiceovers and managing the ingest of media working within a shifted rota system. The team also provide first-line support for a virtual production environment, clients, editors, and live commentary booths.
The Global Virtual Production Operations team are responsible for running the operations for the innovative virtual content enhancing tools across the business, working across multiple regions and sports. This busy team work very closely with multiple teams and 3rd parties across live and post-production to produce quality content for our customers.
This role is based in Leeds.
As our new Technical Assistant, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Monitor success of workflows and look for ways to improve them
- Promote great communication within the team and with other departments
- Support team with first-line support of live events, edit sessions and file-based workflows
- Assisting in the preparation and setup of online edit production suites.
- Ensure quality control of digital media encodes and broadcast deliverables
You'll have:
- Experience working in a post-production or media services environment.
- Experience working with Adobe Premiere editing software and cloud-based MAM systems with a good understanding of workflows, video file formats and video and audio codecs.
- Media manager knowledge: ingesting, delivering, archiving content.
- Knowledge of the Adobe package.
- Experience in dealing with clients in a service environment and communicating technical and non-technical information well.
- Know-how with distribution platforms; Aspera & Signiant.
- Fluent in English, knowledge of other languages is appreciated.
- Experience working in sport or an interest in it.
- Experience working with remote virtual production workflows
- Background working in live events or galleries.
