THE JOB

Reporting to the Head Table Tennis Coach, the Table Tennis Coach will be responsible for the following duties:

• Coordinate, design, and implement training programmes for elite athletes in Hong Kong;
• Fully utilize and integrate scientific, medical and other athlete support services into the elite training programme to enhance elite training outcomes;
• Monitor athlete performance through comprehensive, multi-method assessment and regular evaluation;
• Provide timely and critically analyzed progress reports to the HKSI and Hong Kong Table Tennis Association;
• Be responsible for administrative matters related to local and overseas squad training and competitions;
• Supervise Assistant Coaches and part-time coaches;
• Assist the HKSI and Hong Kong Table Tennis Association with coach education programmes; and
• Perform any other appropriate duties as assigned by supervisor.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• A University degree or its equivalent;
• A valid coaching certificate issued by the relevant governing body;
• A minimum of 5 years' professional coaching experience and proven record of achievement in coaching badminton athletes at national level or its equivalent;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• High level of computer literacy; and
• Awareness / knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong are an added advantage.

主要職責

乒乓球教練須向乒乓球總教練匯報工作情況，其職責詳列如下：

• 負責籌劃、設計和執行香港乒乓球精英運動員訓練計劃；
• 在進行精英訓練計劃時，善用所有運動科學、醫療及其他為運動員而設的支援服務，以加強訓練成果；
• 透過全面性、多方位和定期評估，以監察運動員的表現；
• 提交適時及具分析性的進度報告予體育學院及香港乒乓總會；
• 負責運動員於本地及海外訓練及比賽的行政工作；
• 督導助理教練及兼職教練的工作；
• 協助體育學院及香港乒乓總會的教練培訓工作。

職位要求

• 大學學位或同等學歷；
• 持有由相關管理機構頒發的教練証書資歷；
• 具備最少五年專業教練經驗，及曾帶領乒乓球運動員在國家級或同等水平賽事中獲得優異成績；
• 具備良好溝通能力及人際關係；
• 熟悉電腦操作；
• 認識香港保護兒童及平等機會政策為佳。
