We are looking for a talented Subscriptions Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving the long-term growth of our digital subscription services. As the Subscriptions Manager, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive strategy that spans pricing, paywalls, and subscription packages, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a digital subscription strategy that drives growth across the business, focusing on packages, pricing, paywalls, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with key teams (CRM, marketing, data analysis, product, content, finance) to drive customer acquisition, retention, and reactivation.
- Work closely with the CRM team to deliver a data-driven CRM strategy aimed at increasing customer lifetime value.
- Partner with the marketing team to establish a compelling brand proposition and marketing strategy for our Members’ Club.
- Lead data analysis teams to generate insights that inform strategic decisions and enhance subscription growth.
- Collaborate with the product team to prioritise initiatives on the product roadmap that support subscription growth.
- Work with the content team to optimise the creation and curation of content that drives engagement and conversion.
- Utilise A/B testing and multivariate testing methodologies to improve subscription upsell performance.
- Manage key third-party relationships, including subscription platform providers.
- Stay informed on the latest trends and strategies in subscription management and attend relevant industry networking events.
- Focus on key performance targets such as customer conversion, subscriber satisfaction, retention, and reactivation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in growing subscription revenues for a digital service, ideally in the publishing or media sector.
- A self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and influence key stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with a history of developing and executing successful strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, able to build relationships with colleagues and external partners at all levels.
- Passionate about working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on team success.
- Experience with subscription models, customer retention, and digital marketing strategies.
- A proactive and innovative mindset, always looking for new ways to optimise and grow subscription services.
