Overview
Fanatics Betting & Gaming is seeking a Strategic Partnerships Manager to lead and optimize sponsorship activations across professional sports leagues, teams, and other strategic partners. This role is central to our sports betting partnership activation strategy, orchestrating dynamic sponsorship initiatives and high-profile collaborations that propel our key business objectives.
This role will collaborate cross-functionally to develop and execute integrated strategies that elevate brand awareness and fan engagement by aligning sponsorships, betting initiatives, loyalty programs, and fan experiences across multiple platforms. The individual should be a highly autonomous, self-motivated professional who can take full ownership of sponsorship execution and drive strategic outcomes in a fast-paced, results oriented environment.
The ideal candidate is strategic, detail-oriented, and well-versed in how sports leagues and teams operate within the betting industry.
Responsibilities:
● Serve as the primary point of contact for partners, managing weekly meetings and communications to align on sponsorship deliverables
● Work closely with Marketing, Commercial, Creative, Legal and Compliance teams to develop activations across in-stadium, digital, and social platforms that align with company objectives
● Plan & oversee live event activations at stadiums, arenas, and key team events, ensuring seamless execution.
● Maintain status documents to ensure all contractual sponsorship obligations are met
● Monitor and analyze activation performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
● Create and own partnerships reports and presentations to inform key internal and external stakeholders
● Identify new opportunities for partnership growth, leveraging insights, fan behavior, and emerging trends to refine and enhance activations.
● Oversee team and league IP approvals, ensuring brand alignment and compliance while effectively communicating feedback to cross-functional stakeholders.
● Partner closely with the VIP team to maximize the utilization of contractual tickets and experiences
Qualifications
● 3-5 years of experience in sponsorships, partnerships and brand activations. Experience in the sports or gaming industry is highly preferred; experience working with professional leagues or teams is preferred but not required.
● Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
● Must be based in New York and available to work in the office when not traveling
● Willing and able to travel frequently to partner locations and events
● Knowledge of sports betting regulations and/or experience integrating sponsorships within a regulated industry
● Experience developing activation strategies that leverage sponsorship assets across multiple touchpoints (in-stadium, digital, media, social, and experiential activations)
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with multiple stakeholders
● Team-first mentality, with a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done and a desire to strive for better
● Ability to develop and maintain interpersonal and corporate relationships
● Strong communication skills
● Organized with exceptional time management skills
● Strong attention to detail is required
Salary range is listed in USD; ranges will change based on country and state of residence, which are reflected in Geographical Zones defined by Fanatics Betting and Gaming. *Salary Range: $120,000 to $150,000 (Salary range incorporates all of our Geographical Compensation Zones and is subject to change as the Zone associated with the actual Offer is confirmed).
