Full Description
THE ROLE:
The Statutory Reporting Accountant is responsible for the preparation and coordination of the UK statutory audits, working to ensure key financial statement deliverables are completed and filed in a timely manner.
Reporting to the UK Regional Financial Controller, the Statutory Reporting Accountant is a critical role, ensuring:
- Coordination of audit requests and deliverables
- The completeness of reporting for public filing purposes
- The production of accurate, timely group and company financial statements
Key responsibilities
- Production of statutory trial balances, including any GAAP or statutory adjustments
- Production and review of UK entity financials and management commentary for Financial Statement reporting as required
- Point of contact for external statutory audit stakeholders
- Input of audit and local accounting adjustments into ERP systems
- Management of the delivery of financial information as part of UK audit requests, liaising with the financial accounting team as well as preparation of audit samples and evidence
- Implementation of statutory accounts production software for UK financial reporting
- Point of contact for the tax team and external tax advisors in relation to the UK audit
- Liaising with the wider Genius company and functions (e.g. HR, Legal, Commercial) to ensure key deliverables are met
- Assistance with financial accounting team tasks including month end and reconciliations as appropriate

- Strong interpersonal skills and experience of stakeholder management
- Qualified accountant
- High attention to detail
- Strong technical accounting skills
- High level organisational skills; critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Experience of Company audit processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
IT WILL BE A BONUS IF YOU KNOW:
- Experience in production of UK Statutory accounts
- Up to date UK GAAP
- Experience of working in a multi-entity environment
- Knowledge of Workday Financials is helpful
