Full Description
- Assist in maintaining the general ledger by preparing and posting journal entries for various accounts, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Support the month-end close process, including preparing accruals, estimates, and reconciliations for assigned areas, and analyzing financial statement accounts.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cash reconciliations to ensure all cash transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled with bank statements.
- Assist with the accounting and reporting of debt transactions, including interest accruals, payments, and reconciliations. Ensure proper documentation and accounting for debt instruments, amortizations, and covenant compliance.
- Support the preparation of financial reports related to general ledger, cash, and debt, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal reporting requirements.
- Identify and recommend scalable improvements to accounting processes related to general ledger, cash, and debt management to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), GAAP, and internal policies related to cash, debt, and general accounting activities. Help maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with external and internal audit requests related to general ledger, cash, and debt, providing accurate and timely information as needed.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by the Accounting Manager or senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present data and insights clearly.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team, supporting process improvements and the overall success of the accounting department.
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement, with a proactive approach to identifying and solving issues.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
