Sr Manager, Finance – Commercial Finance & Fanatics Brand

The Senior Manager of Commercial & Brand Finance plays a pivotal role in directing the financial performance and analytics delivery for the Commercial & Brand Finance division. Leading strategic initiatives and operational functions, this role contributes to driving business strategies across the organization. By ensuring integrity and continuous improvement, the Senior Manager aligns cross-functional teams on targeting, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and analysis, ultimately supporting the achievement of business objectives within the Fanatics Brand business segment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directing financial plans, targets, strategies, and controls to achieve desired financial and business objectives of Fanatics Brand.
  • Serving as a strategic partner to the head of business on strategic, operative, and organizational matters.
  • Providing accurate and timely reporting of key financial metrics.
  • Analyzing operational issues, measuring business performance, and identifying areas of opportunity.
  • Offering financial and commercial insights to drive future performance, including cost savings, profitability risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Assisting in business development initiatives, both organically and through M&A activities.
  • Managing relationships and service levels between support functions, including Corporate Finance, Operations, Financial Shared Services, Credit, and Marketing Operations.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with the Finance team to optimize profitability, growth prospects, operational execution, budget management, and strategy decisions for Fanatics Brand.
  • Contributing to efficiency and effectiveness through the development of value-added reporting and analytical tools.
  • Ensuring correct financial reporting, preparing frequent forecasts, and tracking performance.
  • Supporting the pricing process and ensuring adherence to Pricing Policy.
  • Assisting in defining organizational structure, setting objectives, and managing workloads to achieve goals while fostering continuous process improvement.
  • Supporting high employee engagement through effective motivation, coaching, training, and talent development.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Trusted advisor for Finance, Business, and Functional partners across multiple geographies and disciplines.
  • Ability to influence in a complex matrix environment with limited direct reporting authority.
  • Strong business analytics skills with a proven business acumen.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to synthesize complex data and develop innovative solutions.
  • Understanding of Compliance Matters.
  • Excellent project management and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
  • Promotes a collaborative team environment and ensures work/life balance.
  • Ability to coach, manage, align, motivate, and develop talent.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management.
  • 8+ years of experience in finance, controlling, and/or accounting functions.
  • 4+ years of leadership experience in a professional setting.
  • Industry-specific experience preferred.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • International working experience preferred.
