Full Description

Purpose:

A key player in PD&S in driving to be the Most Agile, Most Competitive, Most Innovative and Most Sustainable Product Organization in the industry.  Monitorthe execution of the Allocation strategy within the Development and production season through managing the product allocation process. Act as a key contributor to drive the short to long term capacity management in alignment with the Source base strategy, and support the planning processes to enhance the capabilities, efficiency, effectiveness by collaborating with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the APP Allocation through the development and production stage: ensure development of high-quality products by effectively utilizing supplier capabilities, and continuously optimize for product availability, landed costs, risk balancing, etc.
  • Manage the long term APP allocation strategy (together with the Director Allocation and Planning APP) in-line with PD&S strategy, considering individual BU plans and outcomes of Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes
  • Support the Director Allocation APP in building short/mid/long term planning horizons through analysis/reporting to ensure the needs of the brands & markets are fulfilled.
  • Support global delivery performance for APP (together with LO counterparts). Closely liaise within the Allocation and Planning team at the tactical stage to identify risks for delivery or capacity utilization, develop mitigation plans, control progress of execution, and manage cross functional communications (with focus on BU Planning/CC Development teams) for global delivery risks.
  • Manage the Development allocation process via own analysis (including development capacity) and discussions with Liaison Offices (LO), Business Unit (BU) Planning, as well as functional teams to optimally execute the Sourcing allocation strategy to achieve optimal service levels to the company.
  • Leverage advanced analytics to identify obstacles to the business, develop improvement opportunities, facilitate data-insights based decision making on senior management level to drive change and secure global best practices deployment.
  • Liaise with Sourcing functional, LO teams and BU interfaces to communicate development allocation as well as proactively resolve issues that may impact product creation or adidas delivery performance; identify and drive improvement actions jointly with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage selected projects as defined by Director, Allocation and Planning APP.
  • Ensure all sourcing operations and practices fully comply with adidas’ Responsible Sourcing & Purchasing Policy, adidas standards and legal requirements, while managing the relevant processes internally and externally.
  • Role model leadership to foster a culture of Diversity Equity & Inclusion that strives for an inclusive workplace.

Key Relationships: 

  • PD&S: Allocation & Planning, Sourcing Operations, Materials, Costing, Product Development including BU Planners and Development
  • Global Product Supply, Supply Chain Management e.g. Logistics, Customs, etc.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of the sporting goods industry and manufacturing methods a plus
  • Strong understanding of trade and macro-economic trends affecting imports from the source countries into major markets
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills with experience using various analytical tools (i.e. Alteryx) preferred
  • Strong problem-solving, people and communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft office skill including PowerBI
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 

  • University degree
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in a Sourcing role or operations
