Sr Engineer Software

Purpose

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and developing robust, scalable solutions for Fanatics’ Supply Chain & Logistics Technology ecosystem, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Logistics & Parcel Management, and Warehouse Execution & Control Systems (WES/WCS). You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to build high-performance fulfillment orchestration tools, contributing to the technical vision and implementation of next-generation supply chain capabilities, while mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain real-time, high-performance software for Warehouse & Inventory management as well as Warehouse Execution & Control Systems (WES/WCS).
• Architect and implement scalable orchestration & integration solutions for material flow, sortation, and fulfillment execution.
• Develop software solutions for goods movement, fulfillment workflows, and automated control systems.
• Define best practices for Warehouse Execution & Control software development, ensuring scalability, observability, and performance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, product managers, and third-party vendors to implement and integrate automation solutions.
• Develop simulation tools to test warehouse execution logic and ensure operational reliability.
• Troubleshoot software and automation issues across fulfillment centers, identifying and resolving root causes.
• Drive technical innovation by researching emerging warehouse execution and automation technologies.

Qualifications & Experience

• 7-10 years of software development experience in Warehouse Management, Warehouse Execution, Control, or Supply Chain Technology.
• 7 + years of experience in Warehouse Management Systems like Manhattan Open Systems, Manhattan Active with ProActive. 
• Experience in Manhattan Open Systems is a plus
• Proficiency in advanced programming languages like C++, C#, Java, GoLang, or similar languages for developing scalable RESTful services & APIs.
• Expertise in Distributed, Microservices-based systems handling complex state in highly concurrent environments.
• Experience in Cloud Development & Technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiar with Front-End Technologies like React.js/React Native and Vanilla 
  JavaScript.
• Experience with Temporal (or a similar Workflow/Orchestration system) is a plus.
• Deep understanding of Supply Chain & Warehouse Execution processes, including Receiving, Putaway, Picking, Packing, and Sortation.
• Experience in an Omnichannel Fulfillment environment is a plus
• Familiarity with Warehouse Conveyance Systems & PLC integration for material flow orchestration.
• Experience in Automation AI & Machine Learning models for fulfillment optimization.
• Knowledge of Supply Chain KPIs & Performance Metrics to drive operational efficiency.
