THE POSITION
Reporting organizationally to the Reporting and Tax and reporting manager, the Sr. Analyst, Accounts Payable will be a key member of the FIFA26 Finance team, and work in close collaboration with the Procurement team and other key individuals responsible for delivering accounting.

The main responsibilities and oversights of the Sr. Analyst, Accounts Payable for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:

  • Processing and checking creditor invoices in the workflow system and ensuring the journal entries in SAP.
  • Review documental support and reconcile employee travel expenses under corporate policies.
  • Perform payments to suppliers and ensure all payments are properly approved prior to payment.
  • Monitoring and reconciling vendor accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborating preparing and submitting of timely Travel & Expense reports for review by senior management and stakeholders.
  • Monitoring internal controls to safeguard against fraudulent activities and ensure compliance with financial policies and procurement process.
  • Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements for accounts payable transactions and reconciling information by SAT.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc financial projects, analysis, and other duties as assigned by the Reporting and tax manager or Finance team.

The specific competencies we require for this position are:

  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of work experience in accounts payable, accounting, audit, etc.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Onedrive) and planning software and online collaboration tools
  • Strong Excel Skills.
  • Experience in financial analysis, data integrity maintenance in financial ERP model (SAP is a plus)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to see the big picture and adapt accordingly
