Your mission is to establish Red Bull as the leading functional beverage in Japan's team sports market by developing a robust marketing strategy, boosting consumption within the sports sector, pioneering national initiatives, engaging consumers with top teams and world-class events, discovering fresh opportunities, and communicating the drink's benefits to sports enthusiasts convincingly.
Your goals will be to deliver innovative projects that support and promote athletes, scout emerging talent, and enhance Red Bull's media presence through sports teams. Your role includes crafting unforgettable consumer experiences and effectively managing Red Bull events and collaborations, with the goal of boosting the association of Red Bull consumption with sports and reinforcing the belief that professional athletes choose Red Bull.

LEAD, DRIVE & OWN THE TEAM SPORTS MARKETING STRATEGY & PLANNING
You will lead to create and lead a dynamic three-year sports marketing program that balances team and athlete promotions with Red Bull events, manage the budget efficiently, and collaborate on strategic communications. You'll develop and implement comprehensive campaigns, report on performance, analyze effectiveness for future strategies, and expand reach by tapping into new scenes and consumer groups, all while keeping the Red Bull Sportsnet platform current.
ATHLETE/TEAM MARKETING
You will create and communicate comprehensive plans for teams and athletes, covering marketing, communication, and performance, ensuring alignment with Red Bull's broader business goals. You are tasked with educating athletes about the brand and product benefits, integrating Red Bull branding effectively, and promoting product use around competitive events. Collaborate with athletes' support networks to amplify the brand message, build a robust network in the sports community, and manage a Red Bull ambassador program. Additionally, you'll handle team contracts, organize promotional events to enhance fan engagement, and manage ticketing and event requirements.
EVENTS & 3RD PARTIES
You will manage Red Bull's national and international team sports events, ensuring they meet all objectives, including timing, budget, and legal requirements. You will work with various Red Bull teams for successful execution and branding, seek innovative partnership opportunities, regularly review the event calendar for strategic alignment, identify cost-saving measures, and promote Red Bull product integration to boost daily consumption.
CREATIVITY
You will be in charged with fostering innovation and creativity in Team Sports to develop new events that align with business objectives in both Japanese and international markets. You'll own the creative process, generating unique ideas and concepts that differentiate your team. Your role also involves conceptualizing and implementing groundbreaking projects that highlight both the athlete's and the brand's unique characteristics.

As a member of the Sports Marketing Team at Red Bull Japan, you'll play a pivotal role in fostering excellence, embodying company values, understanding the Japanese sports market, and developing business plans. You'll be the primary liaison for team sports, build influential relationships, provide insights to leadership, advocate for strength-based development, and collaborate across departments to enhance event outcomes.
EXPERIENCE Your areas of knowledge and expertise
that matter most for this role:
- Educated to degree level in sports, business, economics or marketing-related areas or equivalent to relevant work experience of five years.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in managing individuals including the ability to lead, inspire and engage cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of the marketing mix, including developing and managing projects, delivering activations and leveraging relationships for brand outcomes.
- Fluent in written and spoken Japanese and English.
