Job Description: Business Intelligence Developer - Fanatics
Role Summary:
The Business Intelligence Developer at Fanatics plays a pivotal role in consolidating, analyzing, and visualizing critical data to enable informed decision-making. This position combines technical expertise with analytical acumen to develop business intelligence solutions that drive operational efficiency, performance, and innovation across the Product Creation Centers (PCCs) in the Americas and Asia. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to transform vast datasets into actionable insights, leveraging advanced tools and proven methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Business Intelligence Developer at Fanatics, you will integrate, model, and visualize data to support the operational and strategic goals of our PCCs. This hybrid role combines the technical capabilities of a BI developer with the analytical skillset of a data analyst. Core responsibilities include:
- Dashboard Development and Maintenance:
- Design and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations in Power BI, enabling teams to make real-time, data-driven decisions.
- Ensure dashboards reflect key performance indicators (KPIs) and adhere to Fanatics' corporate standards.
- Data-Driven Solution Design:
- Develop and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate and standardize data from various sources, including SQL Server, PowerApps, and inventory management systems.
- Data Analysis and Storytelling:
- Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational improvements.
- Translate analyses into clear, compelling visual narratives to support strategic decision-making.
- Process Automation and Efficiency:
- Create scripts and automated solutions for data transformation and loading.
- Optimize SQL Server stored procedures to enhance system performance and meet business demands.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Partner with technology, operations, and management teams to understand data requirements and ensure developed solutions align with business needs.
- Quality Assurance and Documentation:
- Ensure thorough documentation of projects and solutions, adhering to the highest quality and compliance standards.
- Continuous Innovation:
- Explore emerging tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance Fanatics' business intelligence capabilities, staying ahead of industry best practices.
Technical Requirements:
- Advanced proficiency in SQL Server, including stored procedure design and optimization.
- Expertise in Power BI for developing sophisticated, interactive dashboards.
- Strong knowledge of PowerApps or web development environments and their integration with other platforms.
- Experience in ETL processes and data integration (preferred).
- Understanding of data engineering, including relational and non-relational database management.
- Proficiency in English is an advantage.
- English Advanced Level
