Sourcing Analyst

Overview

We are seeking a proactive, data-driven, and self-motivated Sourcing Analyst to play a key role in enhancing our sourcing capabilities, with a strong focus on Tail Spend Management . This hybrid role blends day-to-day procurement execution with strategic initiatives to reduce supplier fragmentation, improve the buying experience, and drive value across the sourcing function.

The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in spend analysis, supplier optimization, and catalog enablement , along with the ability to partner with stakeholders through implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement cycles. Key Responsibilities

Tail Spend Management

• Analyze tail spend to identify trends, redundancies, and opportunities for supplier consolidation and process simplification.
• Work with stakeholders to implement preferred suppliers , build catalogs, and streamline low-value procurement processes.
• Prepare executive-ready decks and presentations to communicate findings and proposed solutions to internal stakeholders.
• Oversee implementation of tail spend initiatives, monitor results, track adoption, and identify areas for further optimization.

Sourcing & Procurement Enablement

• Partner with Group and Divisional Procurement teams to assess sourcing opportunities that drive broader business value—e.g., leveraging preferred vendors across categories or regions.
• Support category strategy through supplier evaluations, market analysis, and insight generation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align sourcing approaches with category requirements and business goals.

Data Analytics & Reporting

• Conduct data cleansing, enrichment, and analysis to support sourcing decisions.
• Build dashboards and reports using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau to visualize savings, supplier usage, and compliance.
• Translate raw data into actionable insights and recommendations.

Process & Capability Development

• Contribute to improving sourcing documentation, templates, evaluation tools, and reporting standards.
• Explore and support the implementation of procurement technology tools for increased efficiency and transparency.
• Help maintain data quality across systems and sourcing reports.

Career Progression

This role offers a natural progression path into tactical sourcing responsibilities, such as:

• Supporting medium-value sourcing projects and deal execution.
• Running RFPs , conducting commercial negotiations , and managing supplier communications.
• Developing subject matter expertise (SME) in assigned spend categories.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain, ideally within a global or matrixed organization.
• Strong background in spend analysis , tail spend optimization, and implementation of procurement improvements (e.g., catalog creation, preferred supplier models).
• Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas); hands-on experience with Power BI or Tableau is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Statistics , or a related field.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of commercial contracting and negotiation .
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and influence stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, high level of organization, and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward.
• Comfortable working in cross-functional, virtual teams across global time zones.
