Software Engineer III - Privacy Engineering

Responsibilities
Design and implement components of an in-house consent management framework
Build privacy compliance reporting and data retention management features
Build and maintain APIs for integrating data privacy, and governance tools
Implement data classification and privacy-preserving transformation pipelines
Work cross-functionally with data engineering, analytics, and business teams
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers on data best practices

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
3-5 years of software engineering experience 
Proficiency in programming languages like as GoLang and React (full stack experience)
Strong debugging skills and self driven attitude
Experience working with microservices 
Familiarity with cloud platforms and their data services, preferably AWS
Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform) and containerization (Docker)
Understanding of data modeling and database design principles
Knowledge of data governance concepts and basic understanding of regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA)
AI coding assistant experience (Cursor, Claude code, Copilot etc.)
AWS Certification is a plus (but not required)
