WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The DevTools Engineering team builds and optimizes developer platforms including Artifactory, BMX, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines, enabling efficient, secure, and scalable software delivery across the enterprise. You will report to the Engineering Manager and collaborate with product teams, operations, and global cross-functional stakeholders.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer III with deep expertise in DevOps, platform engineering, and cloud-native development, combined with the ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor engineers. This role blends hands-on engineering with strategic influence in shaping the future of Nike’s developer platforms.

The candidate needs to have a strong technical foundation, a passion for automation and AI/ML-driven innovations, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

  • 5-8 years of experience in software/platform engineering or DevOps

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • Certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, or DevOps practices preferred

  • Proven ability to lead by example, mentor junior engineers, and drive modernization initiatives

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will lead and contribute to the design, automation, and scaling of developer tools and CI/CD ecosystems that power Walmart’s technology platforms. You’ll help implement AI/ML-driven automation, enhance platform resiliency, and enable faster, more secure software delivery.

  • Lead design and technical strategy for Artifactory, Jenkins, BMX, and CI/CD pipelines

  • Architect and automate infrastructure provisioning (Terraform, CloudFormation, Packer)

  • Build and optimize CI/CD workflows using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and SonarQube

  • Integrate AI/ML capabilities for predictive monitoring, intelligent release automation, and self-healing pipelines

  • Enhance observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) and drive DevSecOps practices

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and compliant developer tools

  • Guide system upgrades, release management, and disaster recovery planning
