WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will be a part of the Global Technology organization working on Nike’s internal Consumer Product & Innovationsoftwaretoolsfor enabling creation of Nike’s Footwear and Appareland report to the team’sSoftware Engineering Managerbased in BengaluruYou willcollaborate witha team of engineersin partnershipwiththe team’s Product Managerworkingon software projects to achieve Nike’s businessobjectives.You will also collaborate withbizstakeholders under the guidance of your manager.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’relooking for a Senior Software Engineer to solve complex software engineering problems supporting Nike’s pursuit of deliveringstate of the arttools to our product developers and broader creation community. The candidate needs to be highly collaborative with peers, productive in a fast-paced development environment and have depth of native cloud software engineering experience.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree
  • 5+ years of hands-on industry software development experience building and supporting modern architectures such as REST, domain-driven design, and microservices

  • Demonstratedexpertisein Node.js, Python, or similar programming languages, with experience building cloud-native distributed systems

  • Experience with cloud architecture, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and S3

  • Experience developing and supportinghighly availablemicroservices, Lambdas, and applications using modern testing methodologies and frameworks such as Mocha, Jasmine, and Jest

  • Strong understanding of architectural design patterns and computer science fundamentals

  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, JavaScript, Flexbox, semantic markup, accessibility, and design methodologies such as OOCSS, BEM, andAtomicdesign

  • Hands-on experience with browser APIs, event lifecycles, performance optimization, and cross-browser compliance

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with technologies such as React, Redux, Vue.js, template technologies, microservices, and REST web services; experience with Angular is a plus

  • Experience implementing and integrating AI, machine learning based solutions is a plus

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven ability to build relationships across teams and functions

  • Experience in design, digital asset management, orcolorscience is a plus 

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will be part of a team of engineers building outsoftwaretoolsfor our internalDesign and Footwear, Apparel and Accessories developmentteams.Your responsibilities are:

  • Design, develop, andoperatescalable software solutions that support Nike’s design and creation community across web, front-end, and cloud-native platforms

  • Build and enhance responsive, accessible, and performant web experiences using modern front-end technologies, design systems, and browser capabilities

  • Build and integrate cloud-native platforms, applications, APIs, and services using an API-first engineering approach

  • Translate complex business and product needs into well-designed technical solutions and implementation plans across front-end and back-end systems

  • Drive technical design discussions, influence architecture decisions, and helpestablishengineering best practices across the team

  • Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and business partners to deliver intuitive, reliable, and high-quality software solutions

  • Support the full software development lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and operational excellence

  • Improve usability, performance, scalability, resilience, and maintainability across user-facing applications and backend services

  • Mentor peers, contribute to a strong engineering culture, and help raise the technical bar through code reviews and knowledge sharing
