Role Overview
As a Senior Enterprise Mobility & Systems Engineer, you will own the design, deployment, and ongoing management of enterprise mobile device platforms supporting mission-critical operations. This role is responsible for ensuring mobile devices, applications, and workflows are secure, reliable, and scalable across both iOS and Android environments.
You will serve as a subject matter expert for SOTI MDM, working closely with Technology Support, Infrastructure, Security, and Operations teams to enable frontline productivity while maintaining strong governance and operational stability. In addition, you will leverage the Microsoft Power Platform to automate workflows and improve efficiency across technology and operational processes.
This role blends deep mobile platform expertise, systems engineering, and operational excellence in a fast-paced, high-availability environment.
how you will make an impact:
- Serve as the subject matter expert for enterprise mobility platforms, owning the strategy, configuration, and lifecycle management of mobile devices across iOS and Android
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure mobile device management solutions using SOTI MDM to support mission-critical operations
- Ensure device reliability, compliance, and performance through strong policy design, monitoring, and proactive remediation
- Partner closely with Technology Support, Infrastructure, Security, and Operations teams to align mobility solutions with business and operational needs
- Leverage Power Automate and Power Apps to automate device workflows, reporting, approvals, and operational processes, reducing manual effort and improving consistency
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, driving root-cause analysis and long-term corrective actions
- Improve platform stability and supportability through documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to platform standardization, architectural decisions, and roadmap planning for enterprise mobility and endpoint technologies
what you bring to the team:
- Proven track record managing enterprise mobile device fleets using SOTI MDM in a production environment
- Expert-level knowledge of iOS and Android operating systems, including enterprise enrollment models, security controls, and application management
- Strong experience designing and enforcing mobile security, compliance, and lifecycle management practices
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex device, OS, MDM, network, and application issues
- Experience with Dell Wyse Workspace Management Suite (WMS) or similar endpoint management platforms is a strong plus
- Familiarity with Power Automate and Power Apps for workflow automation and internal tooling
- Strong systems-thinking mindset with the ability to balance operational reliability and technical innovation
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-availability environment
- Clear communicator with the ability to translate technical details into operational impact and actionable outcomes
- Design and development of various integration specifications using JSON, XML, EDI (X12 and EDIFACT maps). Very familiar with Supply chain domain concepts. Having worked with a retailer or wholesaler in apparel industry is a definite plus.
- Work closely with the order capture and validation teams as they build out new solutions for B2B Customer order capture and enabling a pathway to migrating applications from the current older EDI platform (Informix 4GL) to a new one (Java, ReactJS). The transition role is more from supporting on a Subject Matter Level effort providing guidance on business rules.
- Manage daily EDI and integration operations including but not limited to - monitoring order flow between B2B entities, shipment advices, invoice processing etc
- As a leader of integration projects, the manager is responsible for defining project scopes, deliverables and schedules. Allocates resources for such efforts and ensuring that any testing efforts both internal and external are well coordinated.
- Communication is key for this role. Some important activities for communication involve establishing business stakeholder meetings, frequent meetings with product managers who are responsible for various systems that interface with the order and shipment pipelines.
- Manage team members who have engineering and non engineering background.
- The candidate will be reporting the Director of Engineering / VP of Engineering, so understanding of finance concepts of running a small or large team is essential.
- The candidate will have software engineers and analysts reporting into them. People management skills is also essential.
- Conflict resolution and understanding trade offs when prioritizing resources is a critical trait of the Engineering manager.
- The candidate will have expert skills in SQL, software engineering principles, agile and Kanban delivery mechanisms, documentation using wiki and task management tools.
- The candidate will possess fair skills in at least one programming language, software development estimation, software architecture and tools associated with that.
- Should have a minimum of 5 years experience in the relevant field as an individual contributor and a minimum of 3 years experience as a manager.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering in computer science or equivalent discipline preferred. MBA is an added plus.
