WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will be part of RIEE (Resilience Insights & Efficiency Engineering) Team – part of GT – RESE (Global Technology – Resilience and Enterprise Systems Engineering organization)

This position will be focused on AI Ops, and Agentic AI workflows, and work on projects that reduce tickets, save costs and make our workflows efficient.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 5 to 8 years of professional hands on experience in application engineering in Full Stack development using several open sources, modern programming languages like Java, JavaScript frameworks and libraries like React, Node, Python and Redux

  • Experience in developing and integration with RESTful APIs is a must

  • Experience in AWS services like AWS EC2, lambda, S3, DynamoDB is a must

  • Experience in  Python, Databricks, ML Flow, SQL, Full stack development is a must

  • Experience with modern build strategies, continuous integration, unit testing, performance testing and automated integration tests required

  • Hands-on experience implementing and supporting modern software architectural principles, SOA principles and patterns (REST, domain-driven design, Devops, microservices, etc.)

  • Working knowledge of AIOps and GenAI use cases is a plus

  • Working knowledge of technologies like TensorFlow/PyTorch for deep learning models, Machine Learning, Kubernetes, Dockers, Git, PyCharm, SSL/TLS for secure communication etc

  • Well versed with Agile methodology and working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence

  • Experience with GraphQL, Opensearch, databases like SQL Server, MYSQL, API Integration, middleware, Git etc

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment

  • Understanding of Automation platforms (RPA, Pega, Power Platform etc) is a plus

  • ITIL Foundation Certified will be an advantage

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As a Software Engineer III, you'll play a key role in designing and delivering automation-driven solutions to streamline business processes and improve operational efficiency. You’ll work on well-defined problems, lead solution design, and drive execution end-to-end—with minimal supervision.

You'll -

  • Participate in the technical development and delivery of front-end User Experiences as well as back-end development

  • Ensure quality of the code and products throughout the entire development lifecycle (DevOps) 

  • Ensure continuous improvement in performance, scalability, extensibility, reliability, usability, and availability of the platform

  • Leverage agile methodology concepts for quality, delivery and continuous improvement

  • Participate in sprint planning and other scrum ceremonies. Help team plan and execute sprint tickets

  • Monitoring and supporting health services in production

  • Working with your local team and other geographically dispersed engineering teams to provide technical expertise on development and architecture

  • Partner with product owner to understand requirements and define an MVP for features and agree upon timelines

  • Collaborating with other engineering teams and architecture to develop new features technical solutions that meet business needs and align with Nike’s architectural standards

  • Working with application privacy and security teams to ensure the application is properly architected and maintained

  • Analyze system performance and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability

  • Take full ownership of features and solutions spanning 2–3 sprint cycles

  • Contribute to innovation by facilitating brainstorming and crowdsourcing of new ideas

  • Guide and mentor junior developers through code reviews and technical discussions

  • Participate in and contribute to deployment activities inclusive of Pre and Post release activities.
