WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You’ll be part of the Foundational Platform Engineering team, a key group driving technology modernization across Nike Global Technology. The team collaborates with multiple business and platform teams to create scalable, secure, and innovative solutions that enable Nike’s digital transformation journey.
 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a full-stack software engineer with strong backend capabilities and working knowledge of frontend technologies. The ideal candidate is comfortable building and enhancing services in Java, Node.js, AWS, and modern front-end frameworks, while learning to integrate emerging technologies that improve speed, scalability, and intelligence.

You are eager to work on migrating legacy systems, building cloud-native solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role is well-suited for engineers who want to deepen their technical expertise, contribute to modernization initiatives, and grow their impact in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
 

Key Skills & Qualifications :

  • 2-5 years of software engineering experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

  • Familiarity with event-driven systems, serverless-first concepts, and basic data streaming

  • Interest in AI/ML integration and emerging tech trends

Strong backend skills:

  • Java and microservices architecture

  • API-first design (REST/GraphQL)

  • AWS services (Lambda, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, S3)

  • CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Frontend exposure:

  • Node.js and one modern frontend framework (React, Angular, or Vue)

  • Building user-facing interfaces for tools and platform applications

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will help design, develop, and modernize core Nike platforms by replacing legacy systems with scalable, cloud-native solutions. You’ll collaborate with senior engineers, product teams, and platform partners to deliver high-quality technology that accelerates Nike’s transformation.

  • Build and enhance backend services and APIs for modernization initiatives

  • Contribute to frontend development using Node.js and modern frameworks where needed

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and migrate legacy components

  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration processes

  • Ensure adherence to best practices in code quality, security, and scalability

  • Learn and apply emerging technologies to support Nike’s future-ready vision
