WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR 

We are looking for a Software EngineerII  aspart of our Cloud Platform Engineering team at Nike. The ideal candidate willbe  bringingdeep technicalexpertisein Cloud Engineering to solve complex engineering problems to enable Nike’s pursuit to deliverstate of the artEnterprise Cloud infrastructure to run Nike’s business and support our athletes.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON 

You’llbe working on buildingplatform  solutionsfor managing and governing Nike’s multi cloudecosystem ,you will be one of the primary technical leaders on one of Nike’s emerging cloud technology platforms.  In a typical week, half of your time will be spent leading by example to design, develop,operate, and integrate Nikes Cloud Infra Engineering solutions and integrate with partner platforms and applications. The other half will be leadership responsibilities to drive organizational technical priorities, define engineering best practices, collaborate with peers, and help to translate business problems into technical solutions. 

You'llhave - 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or similar field or relevant professional experience, education, and training. 

  • Minimum 2-4years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on cloud infrastructure engineering in an multi cloud ecosystem including architecture,deploymentand management of enterprise cloud solutions. 

  • Extensivehands onexperience with major cloud platforms such asAWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (AWS is mostpreferred ) 

  • Extensivehands onexperiencein  implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure platformsusing  Kubernetes, Control Plane architecture, Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs), auto scaling of Kubernetes clusters usingKarpenteror related tools.Crossplaneexperience would be a good to have.  

  • Experience in building observability solutions using tools such asGraphana, Prometheus, Splunk, Cortex,Thanos . 

  •  Strong hands-on programming skills in languages such as Python,GoLang, Java, JavaScript  

  • Hands-on experience implementing and supporting modern software architectural principles and patterns (REST, domain-driven design,Devops, microservices, etc.) 

  • Experience with implementing and integrating AI, Machine Learning, GenAi and related data solutions with exposure A2A and MCPprotocols  preferred  

  • Ability to build andmaintainrelationships with multiple peers and cross-functional partners  

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH 

You will be a part of the larger Global Technology organization working on Nike’s CloudInfrastructure  Engineeringteam and report to the team’s Software Engineering Director. You will spend much of your time with Software Engineers in CloudEngineering  andadjacent teams.  You will also partner closely with other Principal Software Engineers, Solution Architects, Engineering Directors, and Product Managers in both Product Innovation and otherdepartments.
