WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for a Software Engineer II (MFT) to join our Data Integration team (DI). The NRTDI team relies on strong architecture and leadership guidance for Data Integrations and Platforms. We serve business and engineering teams across Nike, Inc globally to help fuel our digital transformation. This role is part of Foundational Platform Engineering (FPE), Global Platforms aggressively innovates solutions to drive growth while creating and implementing tools that help make everything else in the company possible. The candidate needs to have a strong understanding of technical concepts, excellent attention to detail, data accuracy, and data analysis, strong verbal and written communication skills, and be self-motivated and operates with a high sense of urgency and a high level of integrity.
Key Skills & Traits
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
2-5 years of relevant professional experience.
Good experience in MFT, Axway Secure Transport 5.5 and Axway Sentinel administration and development.
Better understanding of AWS technologies including but not limited to EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, Terraform IaC.
Strong scripting/programming experience.
Understanding of Jenkins and code versioning using Git.
Good hands-on experience in Linux/Unix and MySQL/Oracle database administration.
Strong debugging skills.
Communicating with all stakeholders in a courteous and professional manner.Experience with monitoring or observability tools like New Relic / Splunk, or similar will be a value add.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
As a Software Engineer II, you will play a crucial role in shaping, modernizing, and scaling Nike's MFT platform while also driving innovation and automation within our ecosystem.
Platform Responsibilities:
Developand maintain self-service capabilities enabling customersto configure file transfers in AxwayManaged File Transfer platform.
Design and build self-service features thatenhance customer experience — making it intuitive, seamless, and efficient.
Leverage new technologies and tools toautomate repetitive tasks and improve operationalefficiency.
Own platform maintenance activitiesincluding OS, database, and application patching, as well as operational automation.
Diagnose and troubleshoot file transfer and platform issues, ensuringtimely resolution for customers.
Analyze platform issues and coordinate with productvendors for resolution and improvements.
Provide on-call technical support asrequired to ensure platform reliability.
Build automations to improve security, reliability, maintainability, availability, and performance of the MFT platform.
