This role is part of the Foundational Platform Engineering (FPE) and work with Informatica part of Data Integration team.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Software Engineer II, Informatica, FPE who excels in team environments and are excited about building cloud native platforms that can scale with the demand of our business. This role is part of Informatica, FPE aggressively innovates solutions to drive growth while creating and implementing tools that help make everything else in the company possible. The candidate needs to have a strong understanding of technical concepts, excellent attention to detail, data accuracy, and data analysis, strong verbal and written communication skills, and be self-motivated and operates with a high sense of urgency and a high level of integrity.

Key Skills & Traits:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field

  • 3-5 years relevant professional experience

  • Detailed understanding and experience with Informatica products especially PowerCenter 10.5 or greater

  • Strong hands-on experience in IDMC (Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud) Platform administration with solid understanding of Secure agent management, Data Integration, Data Quality, MDM, Data Catalog & Governance Informatica Intelligent cloud services

  • Strong Linux Shell and Python development experience including expertise in REST/JSON APIs

  • Proficient understanding of code versioning using Git (GitHub)

  • Strong hands-on experience in Linux

  • Strong SQL knowledge with oracle RDBMS

  • Great communication skills

  • Strong debugging & analytical skills

  • Willingness to learn DevOps technologies

  • Understanding of AWS technologies including but not limited to EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS Oracle, and tagging

Good to have skills:

  • Knowledge of Data warehousing ETL concepts

  • Informatica PowerCenter Modernization experience

  • Understanding of CI/CD tools like Jenkins & its variations like BMX-Jenkins

  • Understanding of ServiceNow change management process

  • Experience working with informatica vendor

  • Experience utilizing an array of tools like Autosys, Jira, SignalFx and Cyberark

  • Experience working with any of the data processing tools/technologies like Databricks, Snowflake, Teradata

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As a Software Engineer II, you will play a crucial role in shaping, modernizing, and scaling Nike’s Informatica platform while also driving innovation and automation within our ecosystem.

Platform Responsibilities:

  • Adoption of PowerCenter to IDMC migration

  • Admin related responsibilities of connection creation, production migrations, and timely customer response

  • Take ownership of platform maintenance activities which include (not limited to) OS and Application Patching

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting application and infrastructure errors/failures

  • Analyze and report platform related issues with respective product vendor

  • Flexible to provide regular on-call technical support (Weekday and Weekends)

  • Build custom scripts and automations which are deemed necessary for improving security, reliability, maintainability, availability, and performance for our platform

  • Participate on building self-service capabilities for customer

  • Lead tasks including planning and execution for complex projects and programs

  • Experience with participating in projects in a highly collaborative, multi-discipline development team environment

  • Exposure to Agile, ideally a strong background with the SAFe methodology

  • Skill set on any monitoring or observability tool.
