Senior Video Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Video Engineer to join our Video team, supporting the development and deployment of robust, scalable, and reliable end-to-end video workflows. This role is focused on backend engineering, and it involves configuring, scripting, and maintaining video pipelines in cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud-based video infrastructure, scripting, and configuration of video delivery systems, with a strong understanding of the OTT ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and validate end-to-end video pipelines in cloud environments
• Develop and maintain scripts to automate video pipeline deployment, updates, and configurations
• Configure and manage backend systems and video-related products, requiring light development skills
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications across multiple vendors
• Document and own the technical architecture of large-scale video implementations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery
• Develop an in-depth knowledge of our video products and services
  

• Minimum 1+ years of experience in the video industry, preferably in OTT domain
• Strong background in backend or applications, with exposure to scripting and cloud infrastructure
• Proficiency in Python, with working knowledge of JavaScript, JSON, and XML
• Experience managing AWS video pipelines (AWS Elemental, MediaLive, MediaConnect, MediaPackage, MediaConvert, MediaTailor)
• Familiarity with streaming protocols: HLS, DASH, CMAF
• Experience with CDN configuration, especially CloudFront and Akamai
• Knowledge of video advertisement (CSAI, SSAI, Client Side Beaconing, Server Side Beaconing)
• Understanding of DRM systems and configuration
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
• Organized, curious, and eager to learn new technologies
• Ability to multitask effectively and creative thinking to quickly solve problems

Plus

• Experience with other cloud video workflows beyond AWS
• Knowledge of video delivery QoS metrics and optimization
• Familiarity with DRM platforms such as CastLabs DRMtoday
• Exposure to video orchestration platforms like Harmonic VOS360
