Full Description

The Role - Senior Technical Program Manager

We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive execution, alignment, and delivery across the core infrastructure platform. Genius Sports is aligning multiple technology teams and acquired platforms under a unified technical strategy. This role is central to ensuring those efforts move forward in a coordinated, predictable way.

The Infrastructure Platform enables engineering teams to build, deploy, and operate Genius Sports’ product portfolio in a consistent and scalable manner. As a Senior TPM, you will focus on how complex, multi-team initiatives come together by turning broad goals into executable programs, managing dependencies and risk, and ensuring delivery against clear milestones and objectives. You will work closely with the whole InfraPlat team, product engineering leaders, and security to ensure alignment, coordinate work across teams, and maintain visibility.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive execution of cross-functional programs spanning multiple platform and product teams.
  • Translate high-level initiatives into structured program plans with clear scope and milestones.
  • Establish and run program operating rhythms, including planning, execution tracking, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Identify, track, and manage dependencies and risks across teams with competing priorities.
  • Partner with technical leads to ensure initiatives balance developer velocity, operational excellence, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Support initiatives such as multi-region Kubernetes platforms, MLOps workflows, standardized deployment systems, and shared authentication services.

What You’ll Bring

  • 6+ years of experience in technical program management.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate delivery across multiple engineering teams and long-running initiatives.
  • Comfort engaging deeply with technical discussions to understand requirements, constraints, and delivery risk.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with experience authoring well scoped tickets for engineers and progress updates for stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and distributed systems.
  • Experience working with SRE or on-call operations models.
  • Hands-on familiarity with:
    • Container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
    • Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines
    • Observability and operational tooling
    • AWS services (e.g., EC2, EKS, CloudWatch, IAM) or equivalent cloud platforms.

It’ll Be a Bonus if You Have

  • Demonstrated success building platforms or driving adoption across diverse engineering teams.
  • Background supporting large, multi-team technical transformations or consolidation efforts.
  • Program or project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile PM, SAFe, etc.).
  • Have prior software engineering or SRE experience.

The salary for this role is based on an annualized range of $165,000 - $200,000 USD. This role will also be eligible to take part in Genius Sports Group's benefits plan.
