DAZNx – Backend Engineer (Python Developer).

WHAT'S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT?

• As our new Backend Engineer, you will be an integral part of our dynamic R&D group.
•  Your responsibilities will include planning, designing, and developing new features and capabilities for our microservices backend. 
• YOUR TEAM The R&D group is building and delivering the enablement platform for the current and next generation of media experiences in the fields of personalization, content interaction, and social interaction, all of which are at the core of DAZN's value proposition. 
• Key parts of the workflow are integrating with various video and audio live/VOD assets, personalized processing, and distribution across the world to end-users, while allowing collaboration among users, all in real-time. 
• This group is taking full responsibility for providing end-to-end social interaction functionalities on multiple platforms including web, smart TVs, iOS, Android, PlayStation, and Xbox.

Department 61-685 - Technology - DAZN X Employment Type Permanent - Full Time Location India - Hyderabad Workplace type Onsite Key Responsibilities AS OUR NEW BACKEND ENGINEER, YOU WILL:

• Plan, design, and develop our company’s platform.
• Maintain and improve existing infrastructure, tools, and workflows.
• Ensure quality SW delivery through automated component testing, E2E testing, and performance testing.
• Explore and recommend innovative approaches to improve our platform performance and scalability.
• Thrive in a fast-paced development process with ongoing deliveries and high-speed iterations.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise YOU’LL BE SET UP FOR SUCCESS IF YOU HAVE:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Software/Backend Engineer in OO language.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Python to production Env. development
• Strong experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS
• Expertise in microservices architecture, including REST APIs and message queues
• Experience in infrastructure development with Terraform
• Strong team player with a collaborative mindset
• Fluent in written and verbal English communication.

EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software Engineering from a leading university
• Experience in CI/CD environments (e.g., GHA, Jenkins)
• Exposure to NoSQL databases, leveraging modern data storage solutions for scalability and performance
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
