Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:


Lead the creation and execution of Marketing and Activation Plans for Wholesale (WHS) partners across New Zealand. This role is focused on driving commercial growth, strengthening brand presence, and improving key Brand Health KPIs through close partnership with the Key Account Sales team.


You will connect global brand direction with local market needs, ensuring adidas consistently wins at the point of purchase across priority accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and align the seasonal Account Marketing Calendar for key wholesale partners in New Zealand, ensuring strong in-store execution and delivery against agreed KPIs
  • Own and enhance the adidas brand presence at point of sale, ensuring a premium and consistent consumer experience across all key retail doors
  • Drive share of space and visibility within priority accounts, focusing on high-impact locations and key product categories
  • Lead the end-to-end account activation process including planning, stakeholder alignment, and execution across all levels of the customer organisation
  • Ensure global Brand Calendar priorities are reflected locally, with campaigns and product stories executed effectively and supported by the right level of investment
  • Develop and deliver consumer activation plans across key concepts and categories, including in-store, ecommerce, and digital touchpoints across wholesale partners
  • Drive sell-through and consumer engagement, ensuring strong commercial outcomes and market share growth
  • Track and evaluate the effectiveness of activation plans, using insights to continuously improve execution and performance
  • Manage budgets and marketing spend for assigned accounts, ensuring efficient investment and clear ROI
  • Ensure all local executions align with global brand guidelines and campaign direction
  • Build strong understanding of the New Zealand retail landscape, including consumer behaviour, competitor activity, and distribution opportunities
  • Act as the key point of contact for consumer activation internally and externally for wholesale partners
  • Lead the development and delivery of activation toolkits, from briefing through to in-store execution
  • Collaborate closely with regional and global teams to ensure best practice implementation of brand strategies
  • Deliver clear reporting on campaign performance, execution standards, and commercial results

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally across marketing, sales, and support teams
  • Strong commercial mindset with an understanding of retail and consumer behaviour
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel across New Zealand as required

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in channel, trade, or retail marketing
  • Experience working with wholesale or retail partners is highly regarded
  • Understanding of the New Zealand market is preferred
  • Experience in the sporting or fashion industry is advantageous
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
