Full Description
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
- Ensure product delivered On Time and In Full according to customer orders and specification, within agreed timelines.
- Manage relevant inbound logistics projects, processes and initiatives.
- Accomplish operational activities of customs entries, declarations and duty management for all imports and ensure implementation and compliance of all relevant rules and laws in the area of customs, foreign economic, valuation, goods origin and preferential rights in Customs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inbound process through daily communication with management team and the outsourced management team to ensure on time delivery.
- Work closely with freight forwarders, Carriers, Custom, Distribution Centre, PSI and Order Management team in order to ensure timely and accurate visibility of information and on time delivery for all accounts.
- Perform determination of inbound transportation in order to ensure commercial requirements and commercial prioritization.
- Ensure containers are consolidated to maximize container fill rate and potential direct containers are packed inline with specific customer requirements.
- Monitor any delays between ex-factory dates, forwarder cargo receipt date and vessel departure date.
- Apply air freight tactically (shipment mode to be driven by order book status - not all late ex-factory orders need air freight).
- Forecast inbound planning by considering inbound priority & DC capacity
- Define Logistics Service Policy for Inbound Planning function and operate against it
- Support Logistics Services in handling of transportation related claims, follow-up on compensation status.
- Assistance upon request in global tender process.
- Perform the monthly expense closing for the service providers.
- Report submission to follow the local compliance for EPR & Waste Treatment Surcharge.
- Maximize savings through Service Level Agreement and efficient duty management controls.
- Timely detection and compliant of technical implementation of legislative changes.
- Ensure the timely and proper completion of all monthly supplementary declarations.
- Regular execution and development of an effective and proper customs control processes.
- Change notifications or requests for refund / post-clearance recovery within the legal options.
- Monitor and maintain control of all shipping instructions related to shipments entering the country and update as needed.
- Regular reporting, preparation of statistical reports, and ad hoc queries in consultation with the Team Leader.

- Fluent in English (oral and written): a good communicator
- Detail Oriented
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent education required
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in supply chain and/ or sourcing, or footwear and apparel internationally.
