WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Senior Professional, Jordan Brand Communications, to join our fast paced, high-energy team. This person will collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of dreamers to support strategic communications and drive storytelling in service of Jordan Brand narratives to various stakeholders that include media, consumers, influencers and creators.

In this role, you will support the development and execution of communications strategies and drive a product excellence strategy for the broader Jordan Brand communications team. You will collaborate with the media team to support and deliver breakthrough storytelling—connecting with key audiences critical to the success of the Jordan Brand.  

A passion for the Jordan Brand, sports, athletes, communities and culture and growth in communications will help the right candidate be successful in this role.

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing and/or communications (in-house, agency or both) preferred
  • Strong writing, editing and research skills with the ability to adapt tone and voice for different audiences
  • Comfortable working across multiple types of communications (Corporate, Brand, Product, Media, etc.) and channels/platforms
  • Understanding of the current media landscape, including national, regional, trade, and digital outlets
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Organized, detail-oriented and reliable under pressure
  • Team player attitude
  • Jordan Brand enthusiast who loves the brand and lives the culture
  • Understanding how to pivot in a multi-sport focus

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You’ll support and help drive work across the Jordan Brand sport team including basketball, global football, American football, golf, baseball, training, streetwear and energy.

  • Support sport storytelling tied to Jordan Brand business priorities and growth initiatives
  • Create a product excellence program in partnership with New York media relations team
  • Draft and edit sport communications including talking points, emails and presentations
  • Track and flag emerging coverage, trends and potential issues that impact Jordan Brand
  • Support Jordan Brand Sport Communications team with writing, creating decks, product ordering, meeting recaps, etc.

Across all of this work, you’ll:

  • Manage multiple work streams at once without dropping the ball
  • Write clearly, crisply and with a strong point of view
  • Bring structure, follow-through and sound judgment to fast-moving projects
  • Track and measure the effectiveness of Jordan Brand Sport Communications, cataloguing efforts and gathering feedback and insights to continuously improve strategies and messaging
  • Participate in team planning sessions and contribute creative ideas for improving communications practices
