You bring a deep appreciation for how innovation at NIKE begins with the athlete and is fueled by science, creativity, and relentless curiosity. You know how to translate complex, technical, or research‑driven work into clear, compelling stories that honor both the art and science behind NIKE innovation and the pursuit of making athletes* better. WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

  • Translate athlete insight, sport science, materials research, and engineering work into clear, athlete‑focused narratives for internal and external audiences.

  • Build and maintain messaging frameworks, content plans, decks, and storytelling tools that support innovation milestones and product launches.

  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Brand, Sport Offense, and Athlete & Sports Marketing Communications teams to ensure consistency across channels.

  • Assist in planning and executing key moments, events, and experiences tied to innovation and product milestones.

  • Manage stakeholder communications, timelines, and deliverables to ensure operational excellence.

  • Be on the pulse of sport, innovation, and technology trends to proactively surface storytelling opportunities.

  • Across all work, bring structure, clarity, and consistency to high‑visibility initiatives and help strengthen NIKE’s mission of bringing inspiration and innovation to all athletes*.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

  • Scientists, engineers, designers, innovators and product experts

  • Nike Sport Research Lab (NSRL) and advanced research partners

  • Brand Marketing, Legal, and Business Affairs

  • External agency partners

  • Senior leadership across Global Communications and IDP

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 3-5 years of experience in communications, product, innovation, or science‑driven storytelling—preferably with a global brand or agency

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.

  • Strong writing, editing, presentation and research skills with the ability to adapt tone and voice for different audiences

  • Understanding of innovation, design, and product creation processes

  • Confidence partnering with technical experts, creatives, and senior leaders in a highly matrixed environment

  • Knowledge of and curiosity for sport science, human performance, materials, and emerging technology

  • Ability to stay calm, organized, and solutions‑oriented under pressure

  • A passion for NIKE’s mission and the art and science of making athletes* better
