Senior Product Manager

Department: 85-291 - Subscription - Strategic Partnerships

Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: Japan - Tokyo

Reporting To: Ho Chang

Description
As a Senior Product Manager - Japan, you are responsible for planning, managing and delivering key product and technology initiatives both with new partners and with our existing strategical partners. You will be working with a cross functional and multi-regional team of Product, QA, Production, Project and UX to ensure DAZN is the best in breed OTT application in each region.
A successful candidate will be highly analytical, tech savvy, resourceful, customer focused,team oriented, and will have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead product planning and management initiatives for large-scale global B2C products and services
  • Deliver key product and technology initiatives, work with engineers to ensure B2B and B2C workflows are designed as per internal and external stakeholders' needs
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to plan and execute technical product roadmaps, leveraging your strong technical communication and analysis skills
  • Bridge the gap between local CEO, senior leadership team, and central teams to ensure local team requirements are being represented centrally and central roadmaps and thinking are shared back into the market
  • Conduct detailed user journey analyses for both B2C and B2B workflows,ensuring seamless experiences across platforms
  • Conduct user journey testing for partner affiliated B2C users and the B2B users, work with OEMs to onboard/deprecate DAZN service per their needs
  • Use DAZN data services, ensure KPIs are met and raising any issues with global teams for resolution
  • Ensure that in market devices are working to the high level of DAZN's expectations and highlight issues with global teams as they arise

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Proven experience in product planning and management for large-scale global B2C products and services
  • Strong technical planning, development, and engineering background, with coding or programming experience being a significant plus
  • Experience with API, AWS (Cloud), backend systems, and streaming platforms, ensuring effective collaboration with technical teams
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts both verbally and written (in both English and Japanese), ability to multitask
  • General interest in sport a real advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts effectively cross all layers of stakeholders and senior management, in English and Japanese, both written and verbal
  • Bachelor's degree required
