Full Description

Purpose of the Role:

Leadership and of site operations. Full ownership -through a team of leaders - for the delivery of functional KPIs. The SOM is the senior operational functional leader, owning team development, improvement plans, tactical execution. The role optimises service, cost and functional plans.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Safe and efficient execution of operational plans.
  • Management, coaching and development for all leaders including a succession plan for all leadership roles.
  • Development and deployment of department plans including regular communication across the department of performance and operational priorities.
  • Ownership of the departmental resource and capacity plans.
  • Ownership of performance management and recovery plans where required.
  • Meet or exceed agreed performance targets for service and efficiency.
  • Ownership of operational budgets.
  • Effective communication across internal/ external stakeholders to secure support and resources where required.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • 5+ years operational leadership experience in a high volume D2C environment.
  • Experienced leading multiple teams in a high tempo environment.
  • Knowledgeable operator and user of WMS tools, systems and experienced in reporting standards.
  • Experienced leading change in a high growth business.
  • Skilled communicator and owner of functional performance, plans and projects.
  • Highly proficient at using, understanding and managing data including routine analysis of performance and trends.
  • Experienced team and process builder

  • International operational peers.
  • HR, L&D and technical business partners.
  • Local leaders defining supply and demand.
  • Finance business partner.
  • Leaders and project managers engaged in functional plans and initiatives.
