MKTG Sports + Entertainment is looking for a dynamic and strategic Senior Manager, Sponsorship Consulting to join our team and help advise clients on the best partnership execution, athlete/talent management, and strategic presentations.
We are looking for a accomplished marketer with in-depth soccer and F1 experience to implement strategic, integrated brand marketing and activation campaigns with our roster of Fortune 500 clients. You will partner with a team of experienced marketers in developing and measuring performance for activation programs. Successful employees will approach unexpected challenges quickly and creatively. This is a hybrid opportunity based in our Charlotte, NC office and you will report into the Director, Sponsorship Consulting.
Responsibilities:
Lead junior account teams across multiple offices in implementing daily program plans and responsibilities.
Communicate with clients to ensure ongoing client satisfaction and collaboration
Assist senior management with execution of official partnerships, ensuring use of all assets available to client
Maintain oversight on all activation programming including annual and event-based budgets, logistics planning, and event execution
Collaborate with league and team partners, vendors, and other third-party partners to help develop outstanding marketing partnerships
Work with client team to develop, present, and execute activation campaign recommendations
Write and develop documents including activation plans and POV documents to client-ready status
Maintain a high level of knowledge of the sponsorship/marketing industry, within the industry of your account
Negotiate with local and national rightsholders on behalf of clients, securing win-win agreements
Occasional travel is required (up to 25%) including weekends and occasional holidays
Qualifications:
Minimum 6 years directly related experience in sports marketing
Minimum 3 years experience working within the soccer industry (MLS, global, grassroots)
Experience developing and executing sponsorship activation plans at both the national (league) and individual team level
Comfortable managing budget and accounting processes, spreadsheets, and numbers
Understanding of the sponsorship landscape and have experience working on high-profile programs involving properties such as the NFL, MLS, NASCAR, NBA, PGA TOUR, NHL, USOC, and MLB.
BA/BS in Marketing related field
The annual salary range for this position is $59,000-$96,025. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
