Full Description
Purpose
A key player in Global Sourcing is driving the vision to become the Most Agile, Most Competitive, Most Digitalized & Cleanest Supply Base in the industry. Drive development and execution of strategic program on nature related initiative from end-to-end.
Key responsibilities
- Drive development and lead execution of strategic program also support the development of objectives, requirements, and roadmap on nature related within global supply chain, including end to end chemicals, water, and waste management
- Provide strategic advice on program development and execution. Also provide technical advice to support ESG operations and business operations in the event of compliance breaches and driving continuous improvement.
- Define supply chain risks and opportunities through materiality assessments and align on risk-taking strategies.
- Connect and collaborate with industry stakeholders to drive sustainability initiatives.
- Stay up to date with changes in regulatory legislation and guidelines in EU, US and our key sourcing markets. Ensure that overarching policies and guidelines are up-to-date and compliant with current regulations.
- Provide business partners with clear and concise global supply chain summaries of program performance and their impacts within their area of expertise.
- Raise internal awareness and knowledge about nature-related requirements and program.
- Identify and explore future value-added opportunities to enhance supply chain performance.
- Ensure all sourcing operations and practices fully comply with adidas' Responsible Sourcing & Purchasing Policy, adidas standards and legal requirements, while managing the relevant processes internally and externally.
- Role model leadership to foster a culture of Diversity Equity & Inclusion that strives for an inclusive workplace.

- External stakeholders: Local and regional industry associations on chemicals e.g. ZDHC, laboratories, NGO, Government bodies and professional institutions, external monitors
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong project management
- Strong business acumen, analytics and problem-solving skills.
- Strong people and stakeholder management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong written and verbal English, any other regional (Asia Pacific) language is a plus
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
Requisite Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or above in BSc Environmental Science, Geology, Chemistry or other related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in managing environmental related aspects, with solid experience in apparel or footwear is preferred which 3 years of relevant project leadership, and stakeholder management experience
