On 14th May 2024, it was announced that Flutter would be moving its primary listing from the UK to the US, and its global operational headquarters from Dublin to New York (effective 31st May 2024).
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the month end calendar, own the overall deadlines and produce month-end presentations for group functions
- Build a compelling narrative and assists investor relations and the group CFO with leading expectations, outturn, trends and outlook for future years
- Leads annual budget, forecast and long-term planning calendar
- Provide Investor Relations with the information that they require to provide mentorship to the market on group functions cost base
- Challenge business case assumptions with an understanding of the outstanding financial considerations and responsible to build financial models to evaluate new business opportunities
- Actively participate in group decision-making, providing industry-specific financial perspectives.
- Support business leaders to identify group wide opportunities for efficiency, supporting with modelling and communicating the findings in a compelling manner.
- Supporting the business with modelling opportunities which are aligned to our Flutter Edge including opportunities of where we can leverage our Talent, Technology, Product & Capital to build and sustain competitive advantage
- Evaluate investment cases for operational group functions within the Company, optimizing returns in a constantly evolving market.
- Collaborate with collaborators to align financial strategies with industry trends.
- Contribute to the development of long-term plans and long-range plans, incorporating industry-specific considerations.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic planning efforts
Qualifications
- 5+ years Post qualified experience, with significant FP&A, Financial Modelling & business partnering experience
- Ability to build a compelling narrative and executive level presentations
- Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and strategic financial planning
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret sophisticated financial data for strategic decision-making.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders
- Strategic attitude with the ability to contribute to the overall business strategy of the organization
- In-depth understanding of SEC reporting requirements, regulations, and transformation program finance preferred
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent certification
