Full Description
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Drive an effective and efficient brand activation across all communication touchpoints within Originals, Basketball, Partnership and incubation concepts in the country with full alignment between the global Brand Communications and local Business Units. Develop and ensure excellent implementation of category activation for own retail and wholesale accounts while providing respective category contents for digital activation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide the country relevant input to global Business Units and Brand Communications at the commercial input timing
- Support the creation of annual/seasonal local brand marketing plan and calendar with Brand Activation and other Business Unit Brand Communications, based on input from global and country commercial needs
- Manage the execution of the local category marketing plan, including presentation deck to key wholesale partners for implementation
- Manage the creation of the local content in alignment with the key stakeholders (listed in the Key Relationships section) and global Brand Communications obtaining approval if necessary
- Align with the Brand Activation team on the PR/Social and media strategy for a campaign execution
- Manage the execution of the Marketing Expenses plan per company business strategy
- Support local trade meetings by providing appropriate sell-in tools
- Support Sales at sell-in to present the annual and seasonal account marketing and investment plan for alliance and key accounts.
- Lead the production and implementation of bespoke alliance and key account campaigns
- Recruit best in class people and provide people management guidance. Lead, develop and retain talents to foster a high-performance culture.

- Compliance to marketing expense guidelines
- Share of conversation in PR/Social
- Share of search
- Key campaign sell through %
- Agency performance management (annual evaluations)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong degree of knowledge of the full marketing mix (advertising, events, sponsorship, retail, PR, digital) with a major brand or retailer (sporting goods industry preferred)
- Ability to develop and implement local marketing plans following global guidelines
- Marketing budget planning and management
- Strong presentation skill to internal and external stakeholders
- Strong user of MS Office suite of products
- Proven project management experience
- Strong abilities in the fields of employee engagement and performance management at every level through effective motivation, coaching, training, and development of personnel in the team
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree in Business or equivalent professional experience, ideally in Sales and/or Marketing
- At least 7+ years' experience in relevant Marketing fields
- Proven track record as a leader
- Fluent in English / Japanese in native level preferred
