THE POSITION

These are your key tasks:

• Handling procedures before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), including drafting of legal briefs, letters and other communications.
• Representing FIFA at CAS hearings.
• Providing the Head and Director of Litigation with necessary support for the daily operations of the department.
• Researching and analysing relevant developments in the arbitration scene and identifying and suggesting necessary amendments to current practices or to FIFA regulations.
• Lecturing in courses and other education programmes organized by the FIFA Legal & Compliance Division.

• BSc degree in Law or J.D. degree.
• Master’s Degree in International Sports Law is an asset.
• Admission to practice law (Bar) for at least 5 years.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in international sports arbitration.
• Fluent in English and either Spanish or French.
• Proficient in Word / PowerPoint / Excel.
• If instructed to do so by his/her superior, the employee shall undertake reasonable additional tasks and individual requests, when necessary, either for operational reasons or as part of his/her position.
• The duties contained in the job description may be supplemented, amended or further specified by mutual agreement between the employee and employer, provided this may significantly contribute to the employee’s fulfilment of his/her objectives.
