The Role:
In the role as Senior Financial Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, footnotes, and Management's Discussion and Analysis (“MD&A”), including balance sheet, income statement, statements of stockholder's equity and statements of cash flow and other financial data for external reporting purposes within required filing deadlines to investors and other third parties for the consolidated company as well as the individual Fanatics businesses. The position will take responsibility for preparing and maintaining the underlying workpapers to support the financial statements and corresponding disclosures. This position will work across the finance organization with key teams such as Accounting, Tax, FP&A, Legal, Investor Relations, and other business partners.
What You'll Do:
- Support overall compliance with U.S. GAAP and reporting requirements including the preparation of required financial statements, footnotes, MD&A and underlying supporting workpapers
- Assist in preparing quarterly supplemental financial review decks to aid Senior leadership's review and understanding of financial results
- Coordinate with external auditors on financial reporting requirements for quarterly reviews and annual audit
- Assist in managing internal controls and support SOX compliance efforts
- Lead continuous process improvement initiatives that enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and internal controls
- Perform ad hoc analysis on a regular basis, including preparation and review of financial information for Finance and Senior leadership
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
- CPA license preferred
- 3+ years of public accounting experience at nationally recognized public accounting firm, "Big 4" firm preferred
- Experience in preparing, reviewing, or analyzing financial statements
- Strong and extensive knowledge of US GAAP and SEC Reporting requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience using Workiva (WDesk) a plus
- Ability to effectively collaborate with multiple departments, at all levels of the organization
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to analyze and investigate variances or reconciling items in underlying workpapers
- Clear and transparent communication skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic, ever-growing and often ambiguous environment; effective multi-tasking skills are vital
The salary range for this position is $96,250 - $110,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
