Job Description:
- Provide strategic and action-oriented financial guidance and analyses on business plans, targets and controls to support the Brand leads in effective decision-making and the achievement of sales and profitability targets
- Manage and maintain integrity of Brand long-range strategic financial plans, monthly category forecast (volume, sales & margin) and seasonal product margin planning
- Ensure financial as-well-as non-financial managers are provided top notch and highly accurate data and insights to drive actionable business decisions
- Develop and implement creative process improvements and best-known practices while simplifying current financial management processes
- Identify and analyze business risks and opportunities to determine impact on financial results, including post-mortems on outcomes
- Lead and participate in cross functional projects as required
- Create transparency on KPI's with respect to business plans – Revenue, Volume, Margin, Range Size & Efficiencies
- Support the creation and implementation of meaningful P&L targets and provide regular analysis to steer the operational target achievement
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial analysis, incorporating relevant insights into business strategies.
- Reports current or expected financial performance and creates financial models to guide decision making.
- Help with monthly & quarterly internal reporting, including driving insightful analyses to explain trends and any variance to plans
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.
- Proven experience as a financial analyst, with a minimum of two (2) years in a similar role. Preferably three (3).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial metrics, and performance indicators.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on driving business performance and value creation.
- Highly analytical with the ability to work independently & manage several simultaneous projects while delivering high quality work.
- Willingness to invest time and effort to understand business, customers and competitive dynamics to influence strategic business decisions.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel needed - Possessing the ability to use spreadsheets, graphing, tables, calculations, and automation efficiently to process large quantities of data relevant to business tasks.
