Purpose of the role:
This role plays an instrumental part in the way the Brand is driving sport credibility during the Olympics.
Influence the global Olympics strategy, ensure and execute the implementation of the Operations strategy both globally & locally.
adidas has always been recognized for delivering the best service and experiences to its partners, customers & consumers. This role is responsible for delivering operational excellence on the ground.
Represent Global Olympic Director locally, while supporting adi-Italy team to activate and building synergies with Global teams and plans.
What you'll do:
- Create and manage an external & cross-functional Olympic Operations team, developing a “all for one” attitude and showing ownership & courage
- Manage Planning, Execution & Reporting of the main adidas hub to deliver against brand KPIs. Work with agencie(s) and cross-functional teams on Hub construction, Activation / Events, Transport, Cleaning, Catering and Security
- Manage Planning, Execution & Reporting of the Hospitality/Ticketing program, work with agencie(s) to deliver it and ensure that the needs of all stakeholders are met
- Support the Olympics Project Director on overall PMO tasks and influence the Global Olympic Strategy by providing marketplace & regulations insights
- Identify project risks + opportunities and take necessary steps to address
- Develop an "all for one attitude" within the team to ensure smooth cooperation with interlinked departments
- Reduce strategies to tactical plans
- Effectively manage and implement budgets
- Lead the adidas Italy Project Workstream at both Global and Local levels
- Ensure achievement of project Operational KPIs
- Provide the platform to challenge the cross-functional team to ensure creation of industry leading & innovative activation
- Positively represent the brand both internally and externally. Be a competent partner for project discussions with markets and agencies
- Work with the Brand Marketing and Sports Marketing teams throughout the season to be clear on their direction and help them bring it to life at Games Time
- Define tactics to optimize the projects performance and ensure on time conclusion
Skills you'll need:
The individual must be senior in profile, highly motivated and focused. Extremely well organized, pay attention to detail and with a strong empathy and passion towards Olympics. Additionally, the individual must:
- Demonstrate strong event & project management skills
- Show leadership through living the brand values while fostering a performance culture
- Inspire, coach and lead; set framework for performance and growth
- Demonstrate In-depth knowledge of Olympic Project Plan, Olympic Organisations, Events process and adidas
- Show advanced analytical skills, be solution driven and result (KPIs) oriented
- Leverage strong communication, interpersonal & negotiation skills
- Develop an entrepreneurial mindset and lateral thinking to challenge status quo
- Passion for sports
Minimum Requirement:
- Minimum of 5 years project experience – major events or organizational change, Olympic involvement
- Experience in managing and developing direct and indirect reports
- Fluent in Italian and business level English
- PC skills (MS Office programs)
