WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Senior Director of Retail Operations for Nike North America will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, shaping the customer experience, and evolving Nike's retail presence across the Go.

The role requires someone that can lead comfortably across all Global and Geo Retail Functions, Tech, Legal, and Loss Prevention and communicate well with stakeholders in these areas. The role leads 4 functions – Workforce & Labor Management, Process & Retail Optimization, Core Retail Operations, and Athlete Engagement

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

This leadership role requires a strategic thinker who can oversee large-scale operations while fostering innovation and collaboration within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
  • 10+ years of retail experience
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into action
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in retail technologies and data analytics platforms
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong leadership identity with ability to influence up and down the organization
  • Experience leading projects, involving direct decision making on governance and implementation of pilots and programs

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement retail strategies that align with Nike's North America vision and goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operations that enhance customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Identify industry trends and opportunities to maximizes Nike’s retail innovation.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee day-to-day retail operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance across all Nike North America stores.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Optimize inventory management systems to support product availability and minimize waste.
  • Lead best in class Labor model uniquely designed for varying size and volume Inline, Factory and Clearance stores.

Team Leadership

  • Cultivate a culture of accountability and continuous improvement by setting clear expectations and providing constructive feedback.

  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and equitable work environment where team members feel empowered to contribute their unique perspectives and skills.
  • Establish mechanisms for effective communication and knowledge-sharing across teams to promote alignment and operational cohesion.
  • Lead by example by demonstrating integrity, adaptability, and resilience in addressing challenges and driving team performance.

Financial Management

  • Manage budgets and financial planning for retail operations, ensuring cost-efficiency and revenue growth.
  • Analyze financial data to make informed decisions that support long-term success.
  • Align operational investments with Nike's strategic priorities.
  • Understand the impact of different operating activities and instances (inventory, shrink, labor) as they relate to the P&L.
