Role Summary:

As the Senior Director, Consumer Platform & Payments you will be responsible for driving platform strategy, goals and product initiatives for the Fanatics Live platform that unifies and enables collectors to get the best from of our suite of product offerings.

This includes managing the identification of goals, creating unified platform capabilities and experiences, managing product change across new and existing products and product teams, identifying & implementing high-value actions and cross product journeys, and ensuring seamless integration across consumer experiences and working very closely with our data platform team.

In addition this role will also be accountable to identify underlying platform capabilities and changes in support of the strategies of partner teams developing and evolving vertical products in support their product goals.

While this role has a broader responsibility than payments/wallets, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate high experience with driving payments, wallet and identity capabilities.

The successful candidate is a doer, as much as a leader, and will need to have the highest [1] coordination and communications skills, working with multiple direct and indirect teams, and across several different product goals and lifecycle stages

Responsibilities:

  1. Platform Goal / outcome Identification: Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify overarching goals related to end user experience enhancement and revenue generation.
  2. Consumer Platform Integration: Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration across various consumer platforms, ensuring a unified and cohesive experience for customers.
  3. Complex product plan management: Develop platform plans and align with vertical product plans
  4. Efficiency minded: equally comfortable driving QoS and cost metrics as well as customer and revenue metrics
  5. Migration planning skills: driving existing and new product capabilities on the path to unification
  6. High-Value Action Implementation: Develop and execute strategies to implement high-value actions that positively impact consumer engagement and revenue generation.
  7. Community Engagement: Develop and maintain strategies to foster a vibrant and engaged community around Fanatics products and services.
  8. Billing and Payments Strategy: Oversee the development and implementation of billing and payments strategies that optimize revenue streams and ensure a smooth transactional experience for customers.
  9. Data first: Leverage data platforms to gather insights into consumer behavior and preferences, informing strategic decision-making and enhancing the overall consumer experience.
  10. Maximizing Customer Journeys: Continuously analyze and optimize customer journeys across Fanatics' live experiences, ensuring maximum value delivery at every touchpoint.

Qualifications:

  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams, preferably in a consumer-facing industry.
  • Strategic Thinker: Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate overarching goals into actionable strategies.
  • Platform experience: demonstrable experience providing capabilities that grew value across multiple product sets
  • End user Focus: Deep understanding of consumer behavior and preferences, with a focus on enhancing the overall consumer experience.
  • Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with consumer data platforms, billing systems, and payment processing technologies.Highly proficient in working with expert engineers
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data insights to drive strategic decision-making.

Overall, the Senior Director of Consumer Platform ID, Community, Billing Payments Strategy plays a critical role in shaping and optimizing the consumer experience at Fanatics, driving revenue growth, and fostering a strong sense of community among customers.

In Los Angeles, the salary range for this position is $228,000- $285,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. In NYC, the salary range for this position is $252,000- $315,000. The listed salary ranges are specific to Los Angeles or NYC and may not be applicable to other locations. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.

Fanatics Collectibles is a leading licensor, producer, designer, and seller of physical and digital trading cards, sports memorabilia, and other digital assets for entertainment and sports properties globally, as well as a manufacturer of physical and digital trading cards. It has secured exclusive licensing arrangements with major national professional sports leagues, including the MLB, NFL and the NBA, and related players associations, to produce physical and digital trading cards and other collectibles.

Fanatics Collectibles also has partnerships with a number of individual international sports teams and leagues, as well as owners of other entertainment properties granting similar exclusive rights. Fanatics Collectibles recently announced Fanatics Live, expected to launch later in 2023, which will focus on transforming the digital shopping experience through personality-driven content and entertainment.
