Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: Sofia
Overview of the Role
Each tribe consists of squads (typically 5–8 engineers) responsible for delivering features, services, and platform capabilities within their technical domain.
As a DevOps Engineer , you will design, automate, and maintain the infrastructure, CI/CD, cloud orchestration, and deployment tooling that drive reliability, scalability, and engineering velocity. You will collaborate closely with software engineers, QA, architects, and product teams to ensure secure, predictable, and efficient delivery across environments.
You will be hands-on—building infrastructure with Terraform, deploying workloads via Helm charts, managing Kubernetes/EKS/ECS clusters, optimizing pipelines, and improving overall engineering systems.
What You’ll Do
Engineering, Automation & System Ownership
-
Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions , Jenkins, and other automation tools.

Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform (IaC for AWS, VPC, ECR, networking, IAM, policies, autoscaling).
-
Deploy and maintain containerized applications using:
-
Kubernetes
-
AWS EKS/ECS
-
Helm charts for packaging, versioning, and rolling out workloads
-

Implement and evolve Kubernetes standards for namespaces, ingress, RBAC, resource limits, autoscaling (HPA/VPA), and monitoring.
-
Optimize container build pipelines (Docker, multi-stage builds, security scanning, caching).
-
Collaborate with developers to enhance build systems, testing frameworks, and optimized deployment workflows.
-
Use GitHub and Git-based workflows (branching, PR policies, automation triggers) to ensure code and pipeline quality.
-
Troubleshoot issues across infrastructure, pipelines, deployments, clusters, and cloud environments.
-
Participate in on-call rotations for production support and incident response.
-
Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory standards in infrastructure and deployments.
Foster a Sustainable & Scalable Engineering Culture

Contribute directly through coding, scripting, automation, Terraform modules, Helm chart creation, cluster configuration, and performance tuning.

Work with tools and technologies including:
GitHub, GitHub Actions, Helm, Terraform, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, AWS ECS, Jenkins, BitBucket, Grafana, Prometheus, Logstash, CloudWatch, Nginx, Kafka, Ubuntu
and languages such as Java, JavaScript, NodeJS, PHP, Go, Groovy -

Support backlog refinement to balance feature work with infrastructure and operational improvements.
Champion Quality & Continuous Improvement

Participate in planning, estimation, and prioritization of DevOps and cloud infrastructure tasks.

Build resilient, secure, scalable infrastructure using Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes best practices.

Improve deployment reliability, scalability, and performance across EKS/ECS clusters.
-
Lead diagnostics, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and remediation follow-up.

Collaborate with QA, Architecture, Product, and Software Engineering to ensure system quality.

Ensure the Definition of Done includes documentation, tests, observability, IaC updates, and deployment validation.

Promote experimentation, innovation, automation, and internal knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication

Act as a key technical partner for engineering, QA, architecture, and product teams.

Communicate infrastructure changes, risks, and dependencies clearly and transparently.
-
Participate in design reviews and architecture discussions, especially regarding cloud, Kubernetes, and deployment approaches.

Ensure DevOps practices align with business, architectural, and platform objectives.
What You’ll Bring
Experience & Technical Skills
-
6+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, platform engineering, or supporting modern distributed systems.
-
Strong hands-on experience with:
-
Terraform (modules, state management, backend configs, AWS resource provisioning)
-
Kubernetes (deployments, services, ingress, RBAC, autoscaling, troubleshooting)
-
AWS EKS (cluster provisioning, workload deployment, networking, scaling, security)
-
AWS ECS (task definitions, services, Fargate, scaling, health checks)
-
Helm (chart authoring, templating, packaging, versioning, automated deployments)
-
-
Solid experience with GitHub & GitHub Actions automation.
-
Proficiency with CI/CD concepts, pipelines, artifact management, and automation patterns.
-
Strong understanding of AWS cloud services and cloud-native application architectures.
-
Experience with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, Elasticsearch, Logstash, OpenTelemetry).
-
Proficiency with Linux environments
-
Knowledge of containers, Docker, networking fundamentals, and security best practices.

Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Proficiency with Jira & Confluence.

Advanced English proficiency.
