Senior Data Engineer - NIKE, Inc. - Beaverton, OR. Design and build reusable components, frameworks and libraries at scale to support analytics products; Identify and solve issues concerning data management to improve data quality; Clean, prepare and optimize data for ingestion and consumption; Build continuous integration, test-driven development and production deployment frameworks; Establish database management systems, standards, guidelines and quality assurance for database deliverables, such as conceptual design, logical database, capacity planning, external data interface specification, data loading plan, data maintenance plan and security policy; Evaluate and install database management systems; Code complex programs and derive logical processes on technical platforms; Assist in the design of user interface and business application prototypes; Participate in quality assurance and develops test application code in client server environment; Devise, negotiate and defend the tables and fields provided in the database; Adapt business requirements previously developed by modeling and development staff and systems engineers; Develop the data, database specifications, table, and element attributes for an application; Develop an understanding of client's original data and storage mechanisms; Determine appropriateness of data for storage and optimize storage organization; and Assess how tables interact with each other and how fields interact within the tables for a relational model. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.
Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Computer Information Systems and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
