WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Nike is looking for a Senior Footwear Product Engineer who thrives where creativity meets precision. This person turns concepts into reality—driving product from idea through manufacturing with a relentless focus on quality, cost, and performance. They think in systems, understanding how every detail—from materials to tooling to athlete experience—connects and compounds.

They bring a strong point of view and use data to guide decisions, navigate trade-offs, and move teams forward. Comfortable in ambiguity, they operate with clarity and speed, solving problems that scale across categories and geographies. They’re natural collaborators who influence across functions, align diverse partners, and elevate the work through curiosity, craftsmanship, and accountability.

  • A minimum of 3 years directly relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Product Creation, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
  • 3–4+ years of experience in footwear engineering, development, or a related field
  • Experience with footwear construction, materials, tooling, and manufacturing processes preferred
  • Proficiency in technical drawings, 2D/3D CAD tools, and digital product creation systems preferred

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will drive product excellence from concept to commercialization—blending athlete insight, engineering rigor, and craftsmanship to create high-performing footwear. You’ll work across teams and geographies to solve complex challenges, refine processes, and bring innovative product to life at scale.

  • Review samples and Tech Packs—including physical prototypes, digital drawings, and 3D files—across development gates to ensure accuracy, quality, and manufacturability
  • Partner closely with Design, Product Management, and Development to refine constructions, materials, and engineering standards
  • Collaborate with PCC, Program Management Office (PMO), and manufacturing partners to align on execution and engineering best practices
  • Translate consumer insights and design intent into scalable engineering solutions
  • Support costing initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency without compromising performance or quality
  • Drive product engineering decisions from concept through commercialization, balancing trade-offs to maximize impact
  • Establish and evolve best practices that elevate quality, consistency, and craftsmanship across footwear categories
