Achieving our goals requires strong collaboration and partnership between our teams and our internal stakeholders. To best support this, the person who accepts this role is expected to be on site, in office four days per week. To provide our employees with flexibility, we offer a unique benefit where employees at Fanatics' corporate entity can work remotely for up to four weeks per year, which can be taken in daily or weekly increments.

The Role

Fanatics is seeking a Senior Collections Analyst responsible for a B2B collection portfolio. This individual will be directly responsible for the collection of receivables to ensure payments are received within terms, while protecting the organization against unnecessary risk and bad debt exposure.

  • Fanatics Commerce, a vertically integrated licensed merchandise business that has changed the way fans purchase their favorite team apparel, jerseys, headwear and hard goods through a tech-infused approach to making and quickly distributing fan gear in today's 24/7 mobile-first economy.
  • Fanatics Collectibles, a transformative company that is building a new model for the hobby and giving collectors an end-to-end physical and digital collectible experience;
  • Fanatics Betting & Gaming, a mobile betting, gaming, and retail sportsbook platform.

What You'll Do:

  • Independently manage portfolio of business-to-business customers, including Fortune 500 companies, Big Box retailers, Professional Sports Teams, and Leagues.
  • Ability to problem-solve and be persistent in bringing issues to conclusion independently with minimal Lead oversight.
  • Build relationships with key Fanatics customers and internal departments, including Sales and Customer Service.
  • Conduct collection calls using telephone, e-mail, and/or customer website portals to secure payments and resolve any issues preventing payments from being issued.
  • Provide invoice copies, reconcile accounts, and perform other general accounting duties to obtain payment which may include processing credit card payments.
  • Work with external customers to establish payment plans to resolve aged outstanding items.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, and Management to accelerate the collection process.
  • Negotiate customer disputes to resolution and document root causes of payment issues.
  • Actively prioritize and monitor customer accounts, learning reasons for non-payment and understand the necessary steps to bring to resolution.
  • Weekly reconciliation of accounts.
  • Responsible for monitoring payment behaviors on accounts to identify when customer is at risk of defaulting on balance due to ensure no further exposure is at risk.
  • Responsible for investigating and clearing customer chargebacks/deductions and offsets, which may include GL coding for accounting to properly apply to correct functional accounts.
  • Maintain clear documentation of all communication with customers and internal departments.
  • Participate in mentoring AR Collections Analyst.
  • Ability to handle more complex and/or detailed customer issues.
  • Accountable for reducing delinquency in assigned portfolio.
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
  • Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the AR/Credit Department.

What We're Looking For:

  • Must be comfortable communicating directly with customers by either phone or e-mail, displaying ownership and problem solving in assignments.
  • Ability to display ownership and problem solving in assignments.
  • Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of AR experience preferred or 4+ years of high-volume AR experience with high school diploma.
  • Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and PivotTables
  • Hybrid role – M-TH in Tampa office, F Work from Home
