THE JOB / Senior Account Executive (Global Sponsorships) (Payment Services Client) 

CLIENT SERVICES / Responsible for leading Octagon’s client business and day-to-day management of client programs.

***Our headquarters are in Stamford, CT, but the location of this position can be flexible with a priority given to candidates open to hybrid work (3 days a week in office) in one of our office locations - - Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA or Chicago, IL.***

Octagon is looking for a qualified and driven Senior Account Executive to support the management of a diverse sponsorship portfolio as well as provide asset management support associated with the client’s global properties and ambassadors. The candidate will support partnerships across multiple passion verticals and will have the opportunity to work with clients and colleagues across the globe. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, and experience in client services. The position has project management responsibilities and requires a desire to work as part of a team with the capability to tackle problems independently.

THE WORK YOU’LL DO

  • Serve as a reliable agency contact for client sponsorship, internal client departments, and agency partners
  • Assess and provide ongoing support to client on sponsorship portfolio construction and utilization
  • Interpret data, analyze results, and assist with the creation of key presentations and documents to include but not limited to quarterly reports, year in review wrap up report, competitive reports, and best practice case studies
  • Support with weekly updates and action steps across ambassadors/properties
  • Assist with the management and tracking of requests and utilization of contractual assets across global ambassadors and properties
  • Support Group Account Director with asset and client management responsibilities and deliverables
  • Help with the management of the online system used to upload assets, track, manage and fulfill orders
  • Assist with the development and management of the online system used to upload, track, manage and approve ambassador asset utilization
  • Contribute to weekly status meetings by participating in the discussion, providing recap summaries, and discussing ongoing projects
  • Provide support to system users and gather/filter raised issues, as needed
  • Keep up on cultural moments across sport around the globe
  • Provide general sponsorship property support across client portfolio

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • An impressive work ethic with the initiative to consistently go above and beyond
  • A passion for and expertise in sports, entertainment, gaming, music and/or celebrity & lifestyle culture
  • 2-4 years of account management or client services experience working with sports & entertainment properties, leagues and/or teams and an understanding of the sports sponsorship space
  • Resourceful and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to provide quality work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict timelines
  • Demonstration of persistence to ensure client’s questions and reports are delivered in a timely and thorough manner
  • Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously while working as both part of a team and independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software (specifically PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
  • A positive demeanor, with a “no job is too small” approach
  • Fluency in multiple languages a plus
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel level: Low (0-15%)

This position pays $50,000, is overtime-eligible and comes with a comprehensive benefits package.
