The Role
We are seeking a Schools Programme Coordinator to join our Public Engagement team and play a key role in delivering the Schools and Youth Engagement Programme. Working closely with the Schools Programme Manager and the Senior Manager, Schools and Youth Engagement, you will help ensure that children and young people across Scotland have meaningful opportunities to learn, participate, and contribute as part of the Games.
Job Summary:
In this role you will support the development of learning resources and youth-focused activities and assist in delivering engagement projects in schools and youth settings, acting as a key contact for schools and youth organisations by responding promptly to enquiries, and ensuring clear, timely communication. You will also contribute to broader engagement activity that encourages inclusive participation, work with colleagues in Marketing, Communications, and Public Engagement to promote programme opportunities and collaborate with community partners to extend reach, and support monitoring and evaluation by gathering data, collating feedback, and contributing to reports that demonstrate programme impact.
Key Skills and Experience:
We are looking for someone with experience in project or programme coordination, ideally within an education, community, or events setting. You will bring strong organisational and administrative capabilities and the ability to manage competing priorities. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, attention to detail, and a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion are essential.
It would be advantageous if you have experience working with schools or local authorities in Scotland, together with an understanding of the Curriculum for Excellence and the Scottish education landscape. Experience within a major sporting, cultural, or multi-stakeholder event environment, or with youth organisations and public bodies, would also be beneficial.

Salary: Starting salary is from £27,500. Salary offered will be based on demonstrated skills and experience related to this role.
