Full Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Director to lead our commercial efforts to sell Topps trading cards across the Southeast Asia (SEA) and Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) regions. This pivotal role encompasses driving revenue growth, managing multi-channel performance, and developing and executing localized sales strategies tailored to diverse market dynamics. The scope includes both retail and hobby product categories.
The position emphasizes building strong regional partnerships, developing new sales channels, managing product allocations, placing sales orders, and providing structured reporting cadences. The Sales Director will oversee all sales channels, including hobby stores, eCommerce platforms, and mass retail.
The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, exceptional relationship-building skills, and deep expertise in the market nuances across SEA and ANZ, while thriving in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment that values agility and a proactive “can do” attitude. This is a full time role, in the designated office 5 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Market Growth:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies for SEA and ANZ, aligned with company objectives and revenue targets.
- Identify and activate growth opportunities across hobby, eCommerce, and mass retail channels in each market.
- Tailor go-to-market strategies to fit the unique consumer behaviors and preferences across SEA and ANZ sub-regions.
Relationship Building & Business Development:
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key ecosystem partners including retailers, distributors, breakers, and eCommerce platforms.
- Build close collaboration with cross-functional global stakeholders to drive regional alignment and success.
- Expand into underdeveloped territories and enhance partner engagement across the entire region.
Sales Operations & Allocations:
- Oversee sales order placement and manage product allocations to ensure optimal distribution and availability.
- Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to fine-tune allocation strategies for SEA and ANZ.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring:
- Create and maintain structured reporting frameworks to monitor sales performance, allocations, and channel health.
- Analyze market and sales data to identify trends and inform strategic pivots.
Multi-Channel Oversight:
- Lead and grow channel performance across hobby, retail, and digital sales avenues.
- Align channel-level plans with broader commercial goals.
- Partner with local stakeholders to activate promotions, merchandising, and fan engagement programs.
Customer Experience & Success:
- Deliver best-in-class customer service to retail, distribution, and eCommerce partners.
- Resolve issues proactively to strengthen market presence and ensure partner satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Build and lead a high-performing regional sales team focused on SEA and ANZ.
- Drive cross-functional teamwork across marketing, product, and logistics teams both locally and internationally to ensure end-to-end execution excellence.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of sales leadership experience, with a strong track record in SEA and/or ANZ markets.
- Industry experience in trading cards, sports collectibles, toys, or related consumer categories preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing sales across both hobby and retail channels.
- Familiarity with regional eCommerce and retail ecosystems (e.g., Lazada, Shopee, Catch, Kogan, etc.).
- Fluency in English required; additional SEA regional language proficiency is a plus.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
- Experience in managing allocations and sales operations effectively.
- Skilled in data-driven decision-making and business performance analysis.
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive results in multicultural environments.
